Judge for YourselfJudge for Yourself

Produced by Interlink Communications for the National Probation Service

Targeted specifically, but not exclusively at older teenagers, this sophisticated interactive project illustrates the impact of sentencing on offenders and combines drama and analysis in strikingly original and effective ways.

This interactive project takes viewers through a selection of hard-edged case studies and allows them to ask direct questions to offenders in order to assess the nature of their crimes and then to engage, in greater depth, with each case. It aims to make a positive difference in both the sentencing and rehabilitation of offenders.

"Interlink Communications is honoured to win this AMI Award for Judge for Yourself, produced for the National Probation Service. Judge for Yourself is an on-line interactive tool that enables the public to make informed decisions about the most suitable sentence for 4 virtual offenders. It does this by looking into a series of virtual cases by interviewing case workers and offenders, and addressing the issues in an engaging way. Working with the National Probation Service – the success of Judge for Yourself comes at a time when public opinion showed reforming offenders to be equally as important as punishing them.

‘It is a great accolade to have our work recognised by such an eminent panel of judges.’" Paul Lucas, MD Interlink Communications
