The News and Information Media Awardwww.vir.us

Standard Chartered Bank, sponsored by CNN

Over 33 million people live with HIV worldwide, and around 7,000 new HIV infections occur daily. Standard Chartered Bank’s new portal was launched to raise young people’s awareness to the threat of HIV, as part of its commitment to educate one million people on HIV and AIDS by 2010. Click here to find out more.

To help achieve this, it shares its education materials with any organisation who wants to participate actively in HIV prevention.

“Standard Chartered Bank is delighted to receive the AMI Award and to be acknowledged for providing reliable and accessible information about HIV and AIDS through www.vir.us. Leonard Cheshire Disability aims to “make a positive difference to someone’s life right now” and we share this aspiration, trying to make a positive difference by providing people with the knowledge they need to make safe lifestyle choices and protect themselves against HIV and AIDS.” Vanessa Green, Group Head, Living with HIV
